THURSDAY 8PM – GOLD COAST v NORTH QUEENSLAND

Best Bet: Total Match Points Over 48.5 @ $1.97

Up until recently, these Titans-Cowboys games were on the lower side of total points, but the last three games have seen 68, 54 and 46 points. The Titans’ last three games have cleared 48 points. And, these teams combined conceded a total of 124 points last weekend. It could go either way, with a massive over-correction leading to one of the dullest games of the year, or hopefully it’s points-a-plenty. Why not go with what you want to see.

FRIDAY 6PM – WAHS v PENRITH

Best Bet: Alternative Total Match Points Under 46.5 Points @ $1.40

It might be a cowards way out betting at $1.40 but 13 of the last 14 matches between the Warriors and Penrith have seen under 46.5 points, eight of those saw 40 points or less.

FRIDAY 8PM – ROOSTERS v BULLDOGS

Best Bet: Roosters to win @ $1.35

It’s not just the 82 points the Roosters scored last weekend, although that does help. The Bulldogs despite their recent form in general and a good win against Melbourne last weekend are no good away to Sydney teams. Historically no good. Bulldogs have lost seven in a row away to Sydney clubs and even worse the Bulldogs have lost 13 in a row away to Sydney clubs on a Friday, with a last win in March 2016.

SATURDAY 3PM – MELBOURNE v MANLY @ HBF Park Perth

Best Bet: No bet

This one is too hard. A game in Perth, between two sides that are hard to pick at the moment. Manly have the upper hand on Melbourne but have lost their last four away. Melbourne are down some of their best players. Best to sit this one out.

SATURDAY 5:30PM – DOLPHINS v BRISBANE @ Suncorp Stadium

Best Bet: Total Match Points Over 48.5 @ $1.91

More of a bet on what we want to see and based on the scoring potential of the Dolphins, and the Broncos are due to turn up at Suncorp Stadium. Even not being at their best the Dolphins’ games have passed 50 points seven of the last eight games and in their last four games at Suncorp Stadium. As for playing the Broncos, just once the Battle of Brisbane has seen more than 50 points, but the Dolphins having a lot to play for, and the Broncos nothing to lose anymore, we’ll say there’ll be plenty of points.

SATURDAY 7:30PM – SOUTH SYDNEY v PARRAMATTA

Best Bet: South Sydney to win @ $1.37

South Sydney have a great record v Parramatta – South Sydney have won 10 of their last 11 v Parramatta and have won their last 6 home games v Parramatta on a Saturday. Plus Souths are great at home in general – South Sydney have won seven in a row at the Olympic Stadium. Finally Souths get some key players back this weekend too.

SUNDAY 2PM – CANBERRA v NEWCASTLE

Best Bet: Total Match Points Under 46.5 Points @ $1.81

First of all despite being a Sunday afternoon, it’s in Canberra and might still be too cold to score points. Secondly four of the last five games between these sides ended under the 46.5 threshold. Four of the last five matches between these sides in Canberra have produced 40 or less points. 6 of the last 7 for Newcastle have seen under the 46.5 start.

SUNDAY 4PM – ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA v CRONULLA @ Kogarah

Best Bet: Cronulla to win @ $1.19

There’s so many reasons to bet on the Sharks – Cronulla have won 11 of their last 12 games v St George Illawarra or Cronulla have won five in a row on a Sunday v Dragons or they have won eight of their last nine on a Sunday. And so few reasons to bet on the Dragons – St George Illawarra are W1 L7 on a Sunday this season and the Dragons have also lost nine in a row on a Sunday to Sydney teams they have lost all nine games v top half opposition (ladder position at time of game). Almost tempted by the start for the Dragons after a decent showing vs Dolphins last weekend, but those above stats can’t be ignored.
