2026 NRL Round 7 Results & Stats – Match by Match

Match Summary and Stats

Manly’s great record in Townsville continues as they smash the North Queensland Cowboys at home. The sore point for Manly and literally Tom Trbojevic was him limping off in the first half. Not that it slowed the Sea Eagles’ progress. Kieran Foran must be some kind of genius coach as Manly have won three in a row convincingly now with a side that looked bog ordinary under previous head coach Anthony Seibold.

2026 NRL Round 7 Results Stats - G1 North Queensland v Manly

The Points of Interest

  • Manly have a surprisingly good away record v Qld sides – they have won ten of their last 13 going back to 2019.
  • Manly have won three in a row v North Queensland.
  • Even better, Manly have won six in a row v Cowboys in Townsville. Cowboys haven’t beaten Manly at home since 2016.

Match Summary and Stats

A see-sawing contest ends in a fifth straight loss for the Storm despite looking like they might just run away with the game at half time. But Canberra’s season is turning around and the win puts them within a win of the top eight for now.

2026 NRL Round 7 Results Stats - G2 Canberra v Melbourne

The Points of Interest

  • Canberra’s longer term home form v Melbourne isn’t great but got better this weekend – going back to 2003 their record is W4 L17.
  • There have been only four games since 1998 in Canberra on a Friday v Melbourne, the H2H is now equal on 2-2.
  • Melbourne have lost their last three away games on a Friday, and eight of their last nine.

Match Summary and Stats

A golden point thriller that looked a long way off at half time as Penrith led 18-0. But the Dolphins fought back, scoring four tries in 15 minutes and could have had another two with some luck. But once Penrith got some second half ball in decent territory a try looked almost inevitable and thus it proved. Nathan Cleary made up for missing a match winning conversion by calmly slotting a field goal just a few seconds shy of the break in Golden Point. The Dolphins looked almost back to their 2025 best.

2026 NRL Round 7 Results Stats - G3 Dolphins v Penrith

The Points of Interest

  • Dolphins have lost all five games where they are the home side at a venue that isn’t Redcliffe or Suncorp Stadium.
  • Dolphins have won one of their last seven games v Sydney teams.
  • Penrith have won six in a row away on a Friday.
  • Dolphins record on a Friday isn’t great – W6 L12.
  • The Dolphins have scored just two tries in total this season between the 30th and 50th minutes.
  • Penrith have scored more tries in the first 30 minutes this season than the Dragons have all season.

Match Summary and Stats

The scoreline flatters the Titans as the Wahs were the dominant team up until the last ten minutes or so. A 22-0 first half shut-out doing most of the damage as the Titans never really looked likely. The Wahs were helped with the return of two key players in CNK and Mitch Barnett. The Wahs climb to second on the ladder.

Match Summary and Stats xxxxxxxxxxxxx The Points of Interest xxxxxxxxxxxxx

The Points of Interest

  • Gold Coast’s defeat in Auckland ended a three game winning streak there.
  • Gold Coast have won only three of their last 21 away games on a Saturday, with two of those wins being against the Wahs.
  • Since last season, the Titans have won three of their 17 games v non-Sydney teams.
  • Warriors have lost only two of the seven games this season, and the two losses were against Sydney clubs.

Match Summary and Stats

One wonders how long Dragons coach Shane Flanagan will hold on for. Their 0-7 start to the season is a coach killer, but they have been competitive until half time in a lot of games including tonight’s. Souths had just edged ahead when Jaydn Su’A was sensationally sent off in the 68th for a late, high shoulder charge on Cameron Murray after he passed. Murray wasn’t injured but the Dragons chances of winning more than a handful of games is, as Su’A has been one of the Dragons better players. Talking of better players, Latrell Mitchell grabbed four tries and Matt Dufty scored as the replacement fullback, justifying the team calls made by Wayne Bennett.

2026 NRL Round 7 Results Stats - G5 South Sydney v Dragons

The Points of Interest

  • Including last season, St George Illawarra have lost 11 games in a row.

  • Home or away, Souths have won 11 of their last 13 games on a Saturday v Dragons.
  • St George Illawarra have lost their last six away Saturday games and won just one of their last 13 v Sydney teams away on a Saturday.
  • Dragons away form is just terrible – winning only three of their last 23 games away on any day going back to 2023.
  • The Dragons have yet to score a try after the 60th minute this season.

Match Summary and Stats

A great match to finish off the Saturday triple header, with the Broncos prevailing thanks to an Adam Reynolds field goal ten minutes from the end. It was a brave performance from the injury-hit and suspension affected Broncos, with the injury front not getting any better when Payne Haas leaving the field and not returning in the first half, back up fullback going off at the 60th minute, and Kotoni Staggs injuring his foot. Staggs though stayed on and put on some crucial big hits. Wests Tigers had enough territory and ball to win, and played well enough, but that elusive fourth win in a row goes by again, and their record v Brisbane at Campbelltown remains terrible.

2026 NRL Round 7 Results Stats - G6 Wests Tigers v Brisbane

The Points of Interest

  • At Campbelltown, the Broncos have won nine games in a row v Tigers. The only other game between them since the merger was in 2000 and won by the Tigers.
  • Broncos have won 12 of 14 v Wests Tigers on a Saturday.
  • Broncos have won all six away games v Wests Tigers away on a Saturday.
  • Wests Tigers’ loss meant they are stuck on a streak of three wins, and the chance to beat the previous streak stays on 2018 last weekend. They haven’t won four in a row since May/June 2012.
  • Wests Tigers have won one of their last nine at Campbelltown v Qld sides.

Match Summary and Stats

Newcastle were on track at half time for causing a huge upset, leading 24-12. But the Roosters had a James Tedesco up their sleeve and the fullback inspired a 26-0 second half saw off the Knights challenge and continued their dominance over Newcastle at the Sydney Football Stadium, among other grounds.

2026 NRL Round 7 Results Stats - G7 Roosters v Newcastle

  • Roosters have won 19 of their last 22 games v Newcastle anywhere.
  • Roosters have won five in a row on a Sunday anywhere.
  • Roosters have won all seven games at the Sydney Football Stadium on a Sunday v Newcastle going back to 1998.
  • Newcastle have won just one of their last 11 away games on a Sunday.

Match Summary and Stats

A week after pulling off the upset of the season so far by beating the seemingly unbeatable and technically unbeaten Panthers, the Bulldogs relinquish the title by their surrender to a severely depleted Parramatta 38-20. A result that is still hard to believe hours after full time. A solid win over the Eels could have seen them break into the top four, instead they lick their and look for answers outside the top eight.

The Points of Interest

  • Parramatta have won six of their last seven games v Bulldogs on a Sunday.
  • Parramatta have won six of their last seven games v Bulldogs at CommBank Stadium on any day.
