THURSDAY 8PM – MELBOURNE v PENRITH

Best Bet: Melbourne to win @ $2.97

Some great stats going the Storm’s way – Melbourne have never been beaten at home on a Thursday – 21 games without loss and Penrith have won just two of their last 11 Thursday games. But then you say that the Storm aren’t in great form, but neither are the Panthers. Both have a W4 L4 record from their last eight games. You never want to tip against Penrith, but those stats are too hard to ignore. And we open the week with value.

FRIDAY 6PM – CANBERRA v BRISBANE

Best Bet: Canberra to win @ $1.35

Hard to tip the Broncos – a team that has won only one of their last 13 games. But Brisbane have a not-too-bad record v Canberra and Friday night is the Broncos best performing night – they have won three of the last four v Canberra with two of those games in Canberra the 2026 Friday record is W3 L3. But still, they have been playing terrible. And they may not like playing on the cold being from Queensland – Canberra have won 10 of their past 11 home games in Canberra in the Winter months.

FRIDAY 8PM – DOLPHINS v PARRAMATTA @ Suncorp Stadium

Best Bet: Dolphins 13+ @ $1.81

No reflection on the Eels, who have been quietly getting better as the season progresses, and Parramatta have some decent stats on their side – Parramatta have won their last three games away to Qld sides and have won their last four away games on a Friday v all teams. But the Dolphins are due to have a big one sooner or later at Suncorp Stadium now they have the Battle of Brisbane out of the way as they have won seven straight scoring 26 or more in all of those games. They won 22-0 away last weekend without playing that well. So going big on a Ray Stone inspired spree.

SATURDAY 3PM – NEWCASTLE v MANLY

Best Bet: Total Match Points Under 50.5 @ $1.90

Always a danger to take the Unders, as it’s usually only a conversion away from breaking your heart. But Manly scoring 0 points last match is a good start. Then looking at the H2H – 15 of the last 16 games between these sides at Newcastle have seen less than 50 points. In fact nine of them were under 40 points. Even scoring 36 points v Gold Coast last weekend Newcastle are averaging 21 points at home from their last five games. Manly are averaging 16 points in their 6 game losing streak.

SATURDAY 5:30PM – SOUTH SYDNEY v WARRIORS @ Accor Stadium

Best Bet: Pick Your Own Line – South Sydney +6.5 Points @ $1.63

Chickening out of tipping an upset here, but Souths do have some likeable form – Souths have won their last seven games at the Olympic Stadium and are 4/4 this season for home games v top eight sides (at time of match). Before losing the last two games to the Warriors they also had a long winning streak over them too. But the Wahs looked good last weekend, but we guess it was only the Broncos. But Warriors have won five of their past six games and have won seven of their last nine away games on a Saturday. Both teams have plenty to play for – a finals berth can be confirmed with a win for Souths and the Warriors can still win a Minor Premiership.

SATURDAY 7:30PM – ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA v BULLDOGS @ Allianz Stadium

Best Bet: Pick Your Own Line – St George Illawarra +10.5 Start @ $1.49

It’s pretty hard to pick the side coming last to beat a side still with a chance at finals, but the Dragons seemed to have turned a corner. Their last six games sees them with a W3 L3 record, the same as the Bulldogs and the Dragons come into the game on a rare run of two straight wins. Also hard to pick the Dragons when they have lost six in a row v Bulldogs and at this weekend’s venue. So Points Start it is, as four of those six recent losses to the Bulldogs have been by 10 points or less.

SUNDAY 2PM – GOLD COAST v CRONULLA

Best Bet: Cronulla to Win @ $1.46

Cronulla’s cruise to a top four finish and maybe better has been quickly halted with two straight losses, and they are now in a H2H fight with the Dolphins for fourth spot, and they could be further behind with their rivals playing on Friday. So who better to play than a team the Sharks have beaten 13 of the last 14 times, the last three by a combined 148-32. Plus Cronulla have won four in a row on the Gold Coast. The Titans themselves come into the game on three straight losses.

SUNDAY 4PM – ROOSTERS v WESTS TIGERS

Best Bet: Roosters to Win 19+ @ $1.50

Even at the best of times the Roosters would be short-priced to win, let alone when the form and league position is as far apart as it is now. Worth noting that the Tigers did upset the Roosters last match, but the Roosters had won 18 of the previous 19 before that. Going for the 19+ margin as the Roosters do tend to win well v Tigers with five of their last six wins by 20 points or more, one by 66 points alone.
