THIS WEEK’S INTRUST SUPER CUP PREVIEW BROUGHT TO YOU BY THIS WEEK’S QUEENSLAND CUP LEGEND – NICK PARFITT
Round 7 has arrived in the Queensland Cup aka Intrust Super Cup, and as ever we have the preview of what’s to come, and a brief catch up of last weekend.
Although it is early days, the competition is extremely close with 8 teams within 3 points, and three teams sharing the top with 10 points – last year’s top two Townsville and PNG Hunters and early season improvers Burleigh.
At the other end Wynnum and Mackay are both still to record wins, both looking less likely to playing finals in 2016.

THE HUNT FOR PNG OCTOBER
Each week we’ll bring a brief update on our favourite team in this competition – the excitement machine that is the PNG Hunters.
The PNG Hunters proved they are capable of beating the Blackhawks in the regular season with a tense 11-10 win over the table toppers making it three regular season wins from three. Although PNG would probably give them all back to win that finals game last year.
The Devils arrive this weekend, and given their form against sides in the northern half of the competition, the Hunters should be very wary.
With a lot more home games to come, the Hunters look good for a top 2 spot again in 2016.
