The Own Goal – The Gurgler on UK Football

Just five rounds to go in all four divisions, a few slackers aside, and some of the divisions are ramping up nicely, whilst others seem mostly sorted at the top and the bottom.

Still plenty of excitement left in the EPL as the two unlikeliest title challengers in the EPL era so far play out their next chapter for the excitement of their fans, and neutrals alike. Just the bitterest of big club fans aren’t enjoying the story.

At the bottom, it looks like Norwich will need to slip up for either of Sunderland or Newcastle to survive now. Aston Villa are almost officially down, although they have been officially rubbish for ta long time now. They will need a real Championship manager and some decent players with hear next year or League One awaits in 2017-18. For the record, we think Sunderland can survive. Luckily for the relegation and Sunderland fans they take on Norwich in Saturday’s early game in a real top shelf relegation six pointer.

We have a closer look at what’s happening down the divisions with their ups and downs coming so stay tuned.

Here’s our best bets for the weekend, ripe for a win too.
