2026 NRL Round 14 Bets & Best Bets
Here is our one betting special for every game this weekend.
Odds courtesy of Sportsbet and correct at time of use.
THU 7:50PM – MANLY v SOUTH SYDNEY
Best Bet: Total Match Points Under 50.5 @ $1.90
Points have dried up for both team in their last two games, and the total points for this game at Brookvale is quite low – six of the last seven clashes have seen the total points well under the 50.5 threshold.
FRI 6PM – MELBOURNE v NEWCASTLE
Best Bet: Melbourne Total Points – Over 27.5 @ $1.87
Melbourne have a great record over the Knights (13/Last 15) and have won five in a row at AAMI Park, and they have a great Friday home record (21/24 home games on a Friday between 2020 and 2025) while Newcastle’s Friday record is poor – currently six losses in a row. But still, the Knights are in form and the Storm are not in general. But they do have a knack of scoring points v Newcastle, their last four games at AAMI Park v Newcastle have seen the Storm score 34 points or more. Also, the Knight are conceding an average of 36 points per game v sides in the top eight (at the time of match) which is the comp’s worst record. So going with the points as Melbourne should win, but aren’t convincing enough to back outright.
FRI 8PM – CANBERRA v ROOSTERS
Best Bet: Tri Bet (8.5) – Either side to win by eight points or less @ $2.20
Momentum is building in Canberra now they have State of Origin stars and have broken their winless run at home. Canberra have won three in a row at home on a Friday which helps for this week, but overall being at home isn’t a good thing in this match. The away side has won eight of the ten fixtures between these teams since 2020. But the Roosters have falling out of form a little with two straight losses. So since we really can’t trust either side to win, let’s say the margin will be tight, with seven of the last nine games between these sides decided by 8 points or less.
SAT 5:30PM – NORTH QUEENSLAND v DOLPHINS
Best Bet: Double – Dolphins Win and Over 54.5 Points @ $2.90
Two teams who like to score at their best. These games average 57 points per game, with just one of the six under 54 points. Last season’s games saw 62 and 67 points scored. 60 points or more have been scored in the last four all Qld clashes on a Saturday in Townsville. Cowboys have failed to score 28 points or more at home just once this season. And the Dolphins can score 30 points pretty easily, they’ve done it in 3/5 away games this season. The Dolphins are 3/3 in Townsville.
SAT 7:30PM – BRISBANE v GOLD COAST
Best Bet: Reece Walsh to score 1+ Try @ $1.68
Hard to tip either team with the Broncos on a four game losing streak and Gold Coast five games. Total Points and Margin all over the place too. So how about Reece Walsh making up for last weekend with an anytime try.
SUN 2PM – WESTS TIGERS v PENRITH @ CommBank Stadium
Best Bet: Total Match Points Under 49.5 @ $1.91
Penrith should win this and probably will, but it isn’t paying much. The Under 49.5 looks a good option as the last 14 matches between these sides have seen the total points scored under the 49.5 on offer here. The average points per game over those 14 matches is 32.
SUN 4PM – CRONULLA v ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA
Best Bet: Double – Cronulla Win and Total Points Under 54.5 @ $2.20
As much as we congratulate the Dragons for winning their first game last weekend, it’s hard to see a team with one win to their name this season going back to back, especially against a side where they have won just once in the last 11 games. So Cronulla to win it is, but to add value we’ve teamed up with Under 54.5 points. Just one of the last 14 games between these sides has seen more than 54.5 points scored.
MON 4PM – BULLDOGS v PARRAMATTA @ Olympic Stadium
Best Bet: Total Points Under 50.5 @ $1.89
Bulldogs have the third lowest points per game this season and the Eels are sixth lowest. If you add the two averages together it comes to under 40 points. Throw in that the four Monday games between these sides has seen the total points scored range between 38 and 46 and we have a bet to finish off Round 14.
