Here are the main stats from the latest round of NRL that can be used to solve arguments, impress that person on the train you’ve been eyeing off for months, or slowing the rise of petrol prices.
BEST STATS OF ROUND 12
- Four of the five winning teams this weekend scored exactly 30 points.
- Dolphins (77%) have the third best win % on a Thursday since 2023, behind Gold Coast (100%) and Melbourne (89%).
- The Manly v Gold Coast match saw 22 points in total – the lowest match return so far in 2026.
- Manly would be leading the competition ladder on points difference since Kieran Foran took over. The top four would still be the same teams.

- Wests Tigers can’t win the premiership after conceding 52 points against Cronulla in Round 9.
- Bulldogs – can beat Penrith, can’t beat two teams with a combined injury toll of 27 players over two rounds. In crisis.

The Dolphins continue their good run of form while extended Canberra’s poor run at home and in general. It wasn’t quite the entertaining special these games have been in the past, but it was livened up by a try to Ray Stone.

- Canberra have lost six of their last seven games at home.
- Canberra have lost five of their last six games at home on Thursday.
- Dolphins (77%) have the third best win % on a Thursday since 2023, behind Gold Coast (100%) and Melbourne (89%).

The Bulldogs proved there’s still life left in their season with a super second half comeback against Melbourne, who are looking increasingly tired of their 2026 season.
The Points of Interest
- Bulldogs broke a run of five straight losses by beating Melbourne.
- Bulldogs had lost their last eight Friday games in a row before the win.
- Now Melbourne have lost their last five games on a Friday.
- Melbourne have also have won just two of their last 12 games away from home, with the two wins coming in between two five game losing streaks.
- Melbourne have scored six or less in the second half in seven of their last ten matches.
- It was the fifth time in the last six games for the Bulldogs where they scored six points or less.

The Wahs golden run continues and the Dragons winless streak continues. But again the Dragons aren’t comprehensively outplayed, they just don’t have enough to win right now. But the Wahs are running hot and hopefully heading for a deep finals run.

A tighter game than most expected, with the Titans showing plenty of fight. But Fozball wins at the end of the day as Manly’s golden run under their interim coach continues.

North Queensland their rise up the NRL ladder, which should give Todd Payten some breathing room now. South Sydney were a little disappointing and aren’t able to outscore their opponents like they were able to not long ago.

- South Sydney’s 37.6% win rate is the worst for any current NRL team since 1998 on a Sunday.
