THU – PENRITH v MELBOURNE (CommBank)

Melbourne have won three of the last four games v Penrith.

Melbourne have won the last three games on a Thursday v Penrith. Two of those games were in Penrith.

Penrith are W1 L3 on a Thursday this season. But have won their only Thursday game at CommBank Stadium.

Melbourne have won all four Thursday games this season.

Melbourne have won 14 of their last 15 Thursday games.

Melbourne have won six in a row on a Thursday away to a Sydney team.

Penrith have played only one home game at CommBank Stadium this season so far v non-Sydney sides.

 

FRI – WARRIORS v ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA

Warriors have won three straight v Dragons at Mt Smart Stadium.

Warriors have won all four home games at Mt Smart Stadium v Dragons on a Friday.

Warriors are W2 L1 at Mt Smart this season on a Friday.

Warriors are W7 L2 v Sydney teams this season. It’s W5 L6 v non-Sydney teams.

Dragons have the worst away record this season with W2 L8. They have also lost five in a row away.

Dragons have lost eight in a row on a Friday away from home with a last win in 2021 v Warriors at Central Coast Stadium.

 

FRI – ROOSTERS v BULLDOGS

The Roosters have not won more than two games in a row this season. They enter this game on two consecutive wins.

Roosters have won five home games in a row v Buldlogs, although the last two wins were at Central Coast Stadium.

Roosters have won six of the last seven games at Allianz v Bulldogs on a Friday night.

Roosters have won 10 of their last 11 games at Allianz Stadium on a Friday.

It’s eight in a row at Allianz Stadium v Sydney teams on a Friday.

Roosters have a 50% win rate v Sydney teams this season. Bulldogs have an 82% win rate. That includes two from two v Sydney teams on a Friday, which includes beating the Roosters.

 

SAT – CRONULLA v GOLD COAST

Cronulla have won 10 of their past 11 games v Gold Coast.

It’s five in a row on a Saturday.

Cronulla have lost their last three home games v Qld opposition on a Saturday. One of those games was at Suncorp Stadium.

Cronulla have won five of their last six v Qld sides.

Gold Coast are W1 L4 away to Sydney teams this season.

Gold Coast have won only four of their last 25 away games v Sydney teams.

 

SAT – BRONCOS v DOLPHINS

Dolphins have won the only game v Brisbane on a Saturday at Suncorp Stadium.

Broncos have won their last three at Suncorp Stadium on a Saturday, the last loss being the one last season v Dolphins.

Broncos have won all four games v Qld opposition this season, three of those games being at Suncorp Stadium.

Dolphins have won five in a row v Qld sides on a Saturday.

Amazingly, the Dolphins have the same win rate on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday as it stands at 38%. Their 80% win rate on a Thursday is saving them.

The Dolphins are yet to record a consecutive result in 2025 on a Saturday. Which is about the only positive you can take out of last Saturday pantsing by the Roosters.
Obscure stat of the week – the last three times the Dolphins have scored 12 points this season and lost, they have won the following week.

 

SAT – SOUTH SYDNEY v PARRAMATTA

Souths have won eight of their last nine v Parramatta.

It’s four in a row at the Olympic Stadium and six in a row on a Saturday.

Souths have lost their last six Saturday games.

Patrramatta have losty their last sic=x away games on a Saturday.

Parramatta are W1 L5 away to Sydney teams this season.

Souths are W2 L2 at home to Sydney teams.

Souths are W6 L2 v bottom half teams (at time of fixtures) thi season while Parramatta are W6 L3. If the Eels win they will have identical records.

 

SUN – WESTS TIGERS v MANLY (Allianz Stadium)

Manly have won eight of the last nine games v Wests Tigers.

Manly have won the last three Sunday games too.

Wests Tigers have won the only two games v Manly at the Sydney Football Stadium.

Manly are W3 L7 on a Sunday at the Sydney Football Stadium.

Wests Tigers have won their last two Sunday games.

Wests Tigers upset over the Roosters at the Sydney Football Stadium earlier in 2025 ended a run of 11 straight defeats there.

 

SUN – NORTH QUEENSLAND v NEWCASTLE

North Queensland have won four in a row v Newcastle, with all four games in Townsville.

North Queensland have won all six games v Newcastle at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, plus three more before that at the previous ground.

But, Newcastle have won the only game in Townsville on a Sunday.

North Queensland have won four in a row at home on a Sunday v all opposition.

North Queensland’s home record v NSW teams this season is W2 D1 L3.

Newcastle have won two of their last 24 games away to Qld sides in Qld.
