FRIDAY 6PM – CRONULLA v BULLDOGS
Best Bet: Total Points – Under 51.5 @ $1.90
Both sides were terrible last weekend. The last four games between these sides have seen 31 points or less. Just three of the last 23 games between these sides have been over 51.5 points going back to 2010 – those 23 games are at an average of 36 points per game. Plus the Bulldogs only average 16 points per game at Suncorp Stadium.
FRIDAY 8:05PM – SOUTH SYDNEY v DOLPHINS
Best Bet: Total Points – Over 54.5 @ $1.90
4/5 games have seen 50+ points. 3/5 have seen 60+ points. 2/5 games have seen 70+ points. Souths have scored 30+ for the last six games. Dolphins average 31 points at Suncorp v Sydney teams.
SATURDAY 3PM – WESTS TIGERS v MANLY
Best Bet: Manly to win @ $1.34
Manly have an incredible record in Queensland on a Saturday – 10/11 in Qld on a Saturday and eight straight as the away side. Manly are equal second on the ladder since Fozball revolution started. Wests Tigers might still be smarting after consecutive big losses.
SATURDAY 5:30PM – ROOSTERS v NORTH QUEENSLAND
Best Bet: Roosters to win 13+ @ $1.69
The Roosters are red hot, as for the Cowboys, who knows. So many reasons to pick the Roosters – recent form, v Cowboys form (Roosters have won six of their last eight v North Queensland), Saturday form (Roosters have won five in a row v North Qld on a Saturday), Suncorp Stadium form (Roosters have won all three games on a Saturday at Suncorp Stadium last season). Plus their last four wins away to the Cowboys were by 16 points or more.
SATURDAY 7:45PM – PARRAMATTA v MELBOURNE
Best Bet: Melbourne to win @ $1.41
Sometimes we look too hard to find another way. With Melbourne tasting victory, and their record against Parramatta – Melbourne have won seven straight v Parramatta and Melbourne have won their two Magic Round clashes v Parramatta by a combined 112-28 – it’s hard to look past the straight win. Plus, Melbourne still have a better record at Suncorp Stadium than any other team, although recently it’s fallen off. Not as bad as their recent form fell off though.
SUNDAY 2PM – GOLD COAST v NEWCASTLE
Best Bet: Newcastle to win 1-12 @ $3.00
Gold Coast try so hard, but Newcastle are in better form, have a better Magic Round record (4-1 v 2-4), lead the H2H at neutral grounds by 2-0, Newcastle have also won their last three away games at Suncorp Stadium. Three of Newcastle’s last four games at Suncorp were decided by four points.
SUNDAY 4:05PM – WARRIORS v BRISBANE
Best Bet: Total Points – Under 52.5 @ $1.83
16 of the last 18 games between these sides since 2014 have been under 52.5 points. 15/17 games between these sides on a Sunday have been under 52.5 points. Bit of a risk given both can score lots of points, but the unders have shortened to $1.83 already (at time of posting).
SUNDAY 6:25PM – PENRITH v ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA
Best Bet: Highest Scoring Half – First Half @ $2.05
With very little value for Penrith winning, why not look for something more entertaining. Penrith have scored more points in the first half than the second in all 10 games this season. The Dragons have been semi-competitive in first halves this season. Penrith could be well ahead and put the cue in the rack in the second with Origin on the horizon for a lot of players.
