After a slightly underwhelming FA Cup weekend, which has been the complete opposite of this year’s up and down action packed EPL season, it’s great to have some midweek football to kill those midweek blues.
There’s the rarity of eight games on the same day in the EPL, with some great match ups like Leicester v Liverpool, Arsenal v Southampton and Crystal Palace v Bournemouth.
Also included are some games which on paper look one sided but history between the two proves other wise.
Before Man City beat Sunderland 4-1 at Sunderland last time out, the Black Cats had beaten City three times in a row by 1-0. And given Manchester City have as many points away from their last 6 as Sunderland, another upset is not out of the question. Same with Man Utd v Stoke – as the big Manchester club have only beaten Stoke once in the past four EPL games. Although that one win was one of the six straight wins at Old Trafford against Stoke, so that upset looks less likely. But given the way both sides are playing who knows.
As ever, we have our multis, which are surely due.
