A new mobile gave has caused a backlash.
Called ADventure! the game sees players walk around and interact with billboards, which opens a block of three 30 second unskippable (and unmutable) ads, with players rewarded for sitting through the ad. The higher the player progresses the more ads they get, with ads lasting five minutes each for advanced players.
But casual gamers have trashed the game, with the majority of reviews being between one and two stars, with reviewers leaving negative feedback like: “Even at $0, it still feels like a rip off!”, “The most boring game and a blatant platform for ads.”, “I uninstalled the game after the second block of ads. Don’t waste your download limits with this trash!”
The creators have hit back at criticism, saying gamers should know what they’re getting into, “The game is in the name! ADventure! You can’t complain about too many ads if you willingly download a game about ads,” said one anonymous source. “As long as people download the game, they can do what they want with it. We only care about the clicks!”
