NRL Round 20 Tips – Weekly Barely Interesting Stats

Our famed barely interesting stats all in the one place for your convenience and arguments. We’ve added a plus or minus with the team in question to hint whether it’s a good or bad stat too, with the bolded stats our favourite.

THU 8PM – PENRITH v BRISBANE @ CommBank Stadium

BRI+ > Brisbane have at least won their last two games at CommBank Stadium.

BRI- > Brisbane’s last win was the day before Anac Day.

BRI- > Brisbane have lost four away games in a row and last won on 18 April.

BRI- > Brisbane have lost both of their Thursday games this season.

PEN+ > Penrith have won 10 of their last 12 v Brisbane.

PEN+ > Penrith have won nine of their last 10 home games v Brisbane going back to 2011.

PEN+ > Penrith have won the last four games on a Thursday v Brisbane.

CRO+ > Cronulla have won seven in a row v Newcastle at Shark Park. Two of those games finished 19-18.

CRO+ > Going back to 2023 Cronulla have won 13/17 Friday games. It’s W10 L1 as the home side in that run.

CRO+ > Going back to 2016, Cronulla’s Friday home record is an impressive W19 L3.

CRO- > Cronulla have won three of four games v Newcastle at Shark Park on a Friday, but overall it is W3 L7 v Newcastle on a Friday.

NEW- > Newcastle won their last Friday game but lost seven in a row before that.

MEL+ > Melbourne have won 6 in a row as the away side v Roosters.

MEL- > Melbourne have lost their last five away games on a Friday and 10 of their last 12.

CAN? > Canberra are yet to play at home on a Saturday this season. In 2025 they were W4 L2.

CAN- > Canberra’s last home games saw a win v Dragons, it broke a run of five straight losses at home to Sydney teams.

SOU+ > Souths have won five of their last 6 Saturday games and 4/5 in 2026.

 

SAT 5:30PM – WAHS v ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA

WAHS+ > Warriors have won three in a row v Dragons.

WAHS+ > Warriors have won four in a row v Dragons at Mt Smart Stadium.

WAHS- > Warriors have lost four of their last five on a Saturday at Mt Smart Stadium.

STI- > St George Illawarra won their last Saturday game, which broke a run of eight straight losses.

STI- > Dragons have still lost 6 in a row on a Saturday away from home.

STI- > Dragons have won just one game in 16 away from home on any day.

 

SAT 7:30PM – BULLDOGS v WESTS TIGERS @ Accor Stadium

BUL+ > Bulldogs have won the last three games v Wests Tigers at the Olympic Stadium.

BUL+ > Bulldogs have won all three games v Wests Tigers at the Olympic Stadium on a Saturday.

BUL- > Bulldogs are W1 L3 on a Saturday this season.

WTI+ > Wests Tigers have won the last two games v Bulldogs.

WTI- > Wests Tigers have lost their last four away games.

WTI- > Wests Tigers have lost seven in a row away from home and won once in their last 16 games.

WTI- > It’s also eight losses in a row away on a Saturday to Sydney teams.
