WOODEN SPOONERS – The Failed TV Crossover

A crossover segment between Sky News and the NRL has failed.

In an attempt to promote Fox League’s NRL coverage, Sky News started a segment called The Right Wingers, where the hosts interview right wingers in the National Rugby League to get their opinions on various hot button topics.

But a communication mix-up has sunk the segment.

“Our researcher f****d up and it turns out the players interviewed are actual right wingers in footy, rather than people who share the correct political opinions that the rest of the Sky panel does. The researcher was fired immediately of course,” said a Sky News presenter who wished to remain anonymous due to embarrassment.

“The footy players are annoyingly woke. They don’t care if men marry men or women marry women, they don’t care if drag queens brainwash our youth and turn them gay, they have no problem with illegal immigrants ruining our country and stealing the job of hard-working Aussies, and they don’t think Albanese is the worst prime minster in the history of Australia! What a waste of time!”

The Sky News producers are retooling the segment, bringing in a controversial reality TV personality, Teegan Skyler. Teegan made headlines for brutally dumping her on-screen boyfriend on the reality-dating show The Romance Eye Test and has used her social media accounts to defend herself from criticism over her behaviour.

“Her videos are very entertaining. She describes herself as ‘loud, confrontational, opinionated, and not afraid to make enemies.’ She’s absolutely perfect and we’re launching Teegan’s Tirades next week,” said the Sky News presenter. “The pathetic snowflake woke hate her, so we expect plenty of engagement when her segment starts.”
