There have been three goals or more scored in the last eight clashes between Aston Villa and Liverpool at Aston Villa – 39 goals in those eight games. Liverpool are unbeaten in the five games played between these sides on a Friday (W3 D2). Aston Villa have a 100% record v current top six teams at home this season (W4) while Liverpool are winless away to current top six teams (D1 L3).

Man Utd are only W5 D6 v current bottom six clubs this season but are one of only three not to lose (with Arsenal and Bournemouth). Nottingham Forest are W1 D4 L5 v current top six sides.

Verdict: Start of the season you’d almost bet on this being a relegation six pointer, yet here they are 10th and 12th.

SUNDAY 3PM – LEEDS v BRIGHTON

Brighton (W4 D3) are unbeaten in their last seven games v Leeds and lost only once in 14 games v Leeds (W10 D3 L1). The last two games between these sides have been score draws. The only game between these teams on a Sunday was a draw. Brighton are W4 D1 v promoted sides this season.
Verdict: This should be a free spirit, high scoring, fast kicking contest.

SUNDAY 5:30PM – NEWCASTLE v WEST HAM

Verdict: Most football fans will be hoping for a West Ham win to make the relegation battle more interesting with Spurs yet to play at the time of this game.

Stats: Arsenal are undefeated (W8 D2) v current bottom six clubs this season. It’s 100% record from five games at home to current bottom six clubs. Verdict: A critical game in the title race, and a very tough opponent for Man City.
