With the 2024 NRL season underway, a new call centre has been created to help fans.
The TLT Help Line will take calls every Tuesday from 4pm, until 7:30pm Thursday night.
“We know how passionate footy fans are, and how confused they are by some coaches’ selections on Tuesdays,” said Peter, the team leader at the help line. “Rather than go to social media, fans are encouraged to call this line and unload. Our staff have come from a variety of customer service places and have heard things that will make your hairs stand on end. Listening to footy fans whinge and moan about who’s in or out this weekend will be a breeze for them. As long as they don’t personally abuse our agents, then everything else is fair game. Our call recordings stay safely in-house.”
One wife of a long-suffering Canberra Raiders fan is grateful for the help centre.
“My stupid husband comes home every Tuesday night and rants and raves about Ricky Stuart’s selections for the next game, and why Ricky is too stubborn and out of touch with the modern game. And I honestly don’t care. I don’t even like footy. Hopefully he can get his stupid rants out of his system before he comes home and we can talk about things that matter, like how his actual day at work went.”
