A local office worker has started to hate Fridays.
While Peter works in a mundane office job, Fridays have become a point of annoyance.
“We have this online chat group for our area, and every Friday morning some idiots posts ‘It’s Fri-yay!’. It’s been EVERY bloody Friday since we came back. Seriously!” said Peter.
This post is usually followed by a series of ‘funny’ GIFs of people or animals dancing.
“I played along at the start, but it quickly got boring. I don’t get the appeal of Fridays anyway. It’s the end of a long week and I just want to get through the day, get home, crack open a few, and watch the footy.”
While Peter may have grown tired of the trend, he knows not to ruin people’s fun by poo poo-ing the ‘Fri-yay’ fun.
“It’s a big group, so nobody notices if I ignore the posts. Let them have their fun and I’ll use the chat group to talk about work stuff or why the mighty Broncos are destined to win the premiership.”
