THE VERDICT

Manchester City duo Phil Foden and Ilkay Gundogan top the captain’s table again this GW Foden helped with this week’s best scoring record against the opposition. But who can trust Pep after his benching spree last GW. Man City do have a great recent record against Burnley winning six in a row and ten of the last 11 (one draw). And by a margin of 37 – 5.

Mo Salah  was super last weekend, rewarding those with loyalty for the competition’s top scorer. Brighton is a good opponent too, with Salah having a very good scoring rate against them.

Jack Grealish is a factor every week, and so should be considered every week. He tops our Magnificent Seven stats visual below.

Leicester duo James Maddison and Harvey Barnes are newcomers into the captain’s table, and both looked sharp last weekend despite the loss to Leeds. They play Fulham this weekend, who aren’t terrible, but aren’t on a terribly good run of form or goals. Though Fulham have beaten Leicester already this season and drew with Liverpool at home.

A 0-0 last weekend didn’t help Bruno Fernandes and Southampton are also tough to play against. His form has dropped to 3.0, so the decision to keep is being debated let alone captain.

Our Selection –  Mo Salah
