International Football Week Sucks – Time for League & Two to Shine

Another International Football Week has come around, and for the second time this year we have no top flight football across Europe. How boring and annoying.

We actually came up with an alternative to these inconveniences with our idea to rubbish the absurd idea of 48 teams at a World Cup and introduce our own idea that allows all FIFA nations to get a taste.

Time to settle for a much lesser quality of Football then.

Well, the A League has kicked off this weekend.

But that is not the only lesser league to be in action this weekend.

English Football’s third and fourth tier competitions League One and League Two get their time to shine in the absence of the big leagues. Similar to Greyhound Racing status as big man on campus during Horse Flu.

What better way to give a rare stuff than to tune into to one of four games on BeIn Sport live this weekend. Or have a little wager and stay up until 2am to check its progress. Or not.

But it is your loss if you ignore it. What else is on? Just Bathurst 1000 and a Rugby League Test between Samoa and Fiji. No excuse then.

Is it a coincidence that the A League kicks off the same weekend as the weekend that League One and Two are the highlights. Yes.

So why not join in and find out what’s going on with Coventry City, Newport County, and Leyton Orient. (All have sacked managers with in the last 10 days.) Or just find out about the loads of other Football League clubs you hear around the workplace, express train to the City, or even in the cubical beside you. They have much more interesting names in League One and Two. Like Accrington Stanley, Plymouth Argyle, Port Vale and Grimsby Town.

What do you have to lose. Either watch reasonably meaningless International or sloth yourself into the Bathurst 1000. You can do all three.

Without crapping on for any longer, here’s the best bits of the upcoming weekend of League One and League Two.\
