Mayor Tom Tate is ready to channel Diamond Joe Quimby with a presentation of the keys to the city to Jarryd Hayne. It will be a busy day for him and the residents of the Gold Coast. As explained below.
Here’s the list of activities and events to celebrate the Jarryd Hayne Titans Debut on Jarryd Hayne day.
All weekend Cavill Avenue and Mall will be known as Hayne Mall and Hayne Avenue.
For Sunday all streets and roads will be renamed in honour of the Jarryd Hayne Titans debut. So to head to the game on Sunday you need to travel north or south on the Hayne Motorway and take exit Hayne at the Hayne Road overpass. Then turn right onto Hayne avenue and left at the roundabout into Hayne Boulevard. You will then need to find a park and walk along the Hayne thoroughfare to the ground.
For the month of August, all light rail will be known as the Hayne Trains.
All Hungry Jacks on the coast will rename themselves Hayne-gry Jacks.
Bob Jane T Marts will also be known as Bob Hayne T Marts for the day. Anyone with a GC season ticket will get a special commemorative Jarryd Hayne Titans debut air freshener.

All spectators will be given Jarryd Hayne face masks.
20 minutes before game the Titans will release 2.4 million Jarryd Hayne Titans debut balloons. All with his face.
