It’s a Champions(hip) & Europa League One and Two (CAELOAT) midweek line up, with loads of games to follow and throw good street money at.
The Premium Champions League has the next lot of fixtures from the first legs of the knockout Second Round on Wednesday and Thursday morning (Oz Time) with Arsenal v Barcelona being the premium fixture of the four on offer. it always seems to be either Bayern Munich or Barcelona at this time of year, but I guess finishing first in a group will avoid that issue. Seeing the Spanish front three in action will be worth the overprice of admission.
Another great game is respective League giants Juventus and Bayern Munich. Both are the obvious candidates to take on the Spanish giants in the late stages of the competition, so one of the big challengers will be gone after this round. Shame.
Whilst those big teams are at it, the Football League has some fixtures, and although it is not a full book of games, there’s plenty to throw your pocket change at. The top 4 are only separated by three points and all are coming up against hungry teams – three on the edge of the playoffs, and one trying hard and succeeding to creep away from the relegation zone.
Further down there are a handful of games in League Two and League One where the main interest is if Northampton Town can win 10 straight games. It would be a nicely rounded figure considered that they were fundraising earlier in the year after a 10M loan to build a new stand went missing.
Finally on Friday morning (Oz Time) there’s the Europa League, which may be poo-pooed by some as inferior, and whilst there’s not the billion dollar superclubs, there’s loads of quality teams from many more leagues, and a lot of the ties are quite compeditive.
Anyway, there’s better analysis elsewhere and you’re not here for that, or the below. But we’d thought we’d share as just like the stopped clock we tipped a correct multi in the Championship on Saturday night at $30+. Can lightning strike twice? Of course it can.
