Before the last start 1-1 draw the last 5 games between these two sides all went Liverpool’s way and a goals for and against of 21-5. But that was mainly with Luis Suarez who has since proved his quality and manners at Barcelona. Liverpool’s away record of 3 wins and 3 losses sees them 3rd in the last 6 form away. Second last Sunderland have scored more goals than half of the other EPL sides including Liverpool, Watford, Crystal Palace and this week’s opponent Bournemouth despite looking an excellent chance for relegation. Bournemouth have bought a few new players in including Wolves sharp shooter Benik Afobe. Despite the fanfare and well wishers Bournemouth are still just three points from relegation.

WATFORD v NEWCASTLE – 3:00pm UK
Watford are doing the usual for one Championship side each season – a surprising run that gets them within reach of the big boys followed by a gradual slide down the ladder. The gradual slide is courtesy of 4 straight losses. However wedged in the middle of the four losses was a win in the FA Cup over Newcastle. Who knows with Newcastle, they have beaten Spurs away this season.

WBA v ASTON VILLA – 3:00pm UK
A midlands derby of sorts, and Aston Villa arrive in a rare patch of good form. A drought breaking win over Aston Villa was followed by a draw with table topping Leicester, and then they finally put Wycombe to the sword in the midweek replay. West Brom also got past lower league opponents in midweek too, so fatigue can be an excuse shared.

CRYSTAL PALACE v SPURS – 3:00pm UK
Crystal Palace for all their excitement throughout the season have now gone 5 games without scoring. They were within sniffing distance of the top 4 but now can taste the midfield. And Emmanuel Adebayor is on the radar. His ex team SPurs visit and are top of the last 6 form table and will probably be happy to play someone different after a few matches against Leicester.

LEICESTER v STOKE – 3:00pm UK
Hard to imagine this game would be 2nd v 7th at the beginning of the season, but that’s been this season. Leicester’s last four of 3 draws and 1 wins have the I Told You So’s ready to cash in. Stoke;s recent away form goes Draw, Win, Loss, Draw, Win, Loss. So this week is a draw then?

Apparently Manchester United can still win the title according to Louis Van Gaal. Who knows, it’s been that kind of season. Lots of clubs might. Southampton have won two in a row, but lost their last four away.

West Ham surprised Manchester City earlier in the season, and given their unbeaten run of 8 games at home (includes 5 draws) and Manchester City’s less than stellar away form (9th overall and 11th last 6) it could happen again. We’ll just pick a draw.

Everton may feel robbed after their 3-3 draw at Chelsea, maybe they should be more worried about their home form which is equal third worst this season. They are playing the side with the second worst away form.

ARSENAL v CHELSEA – 4:00pm UK SUNDAY
This game was a lot more fun with Jose around. The pre game taunts, the rebuttals, and all the associated action. Chelsea have yet to turn the corner they have been expected to, and with Arsenal tasting a first title for over a decade that corner may have to wait. They are still close enough to relegation to worry too if it takes too long.
