Nothing But League Reviews Queensland Cup Round 14

Another round of the Intrust Super Cup aka Queensland Cup played over the weekend, with the highlight being the 15,000 fans in Port Moresby to see the mighty PNG Hunters score their seventh straight victory. It was a crowd larger than any of the NRL fixtures over the weekend. Proof of two things – the PNG people love their league, and the NRL is waste of time during Origin time.

The Gurgler can’t hide the fact we’d love to see the PNG Hunters in the finals series, and have no doubt they’ll draw a crowd anywhere. May the run continue for some weeks to come.

Elsewhere there were wins for Townsville, Northern Pride, Burleigh and Mackay.

The last game was 24 all draw between Tweed and Easts. A great comeback from the Tigers playing in their first game since the passing of Grant Giess.

But this is just a taster, the entire review can be found thanks to our friends at Nothing But League.
