Been too distracted by golden point thrillers? Been too crowded on the train trying to save fuel to read the form guide? Do you need some last-minute NRL tipping advice? Or simply want something else to blame when the tips go wrong? Either way, The Gurgler’s 2026 NRL Round 6 Ratings and Late Mail is here to deliver a little help.
In addition to our huge stable of NRL stats and tipping gear, we have used all the stats we have, smashed them against each other like atoms, and come up with a H2H rating as dangerous to the outside world as Chernobyl.
We include lots of things, and add to it as the season progresses, come up with a magic number for each team, then slice up the scores out of 100% between the two sides. The bigger the percentage, the more likely to win.
And always, Win Early, Win Often.
2026 NRL Round 6 Ratings
Here are the latest H2H ratings and winners for the big weekend of NRL action ahead.

2026 NRL Round 6 Late Mail + Good v Grape
Now we go through every game pointing out the good and the grape (a different way of saying not so great). Be it stats, players ins and outs, or any word on the street we can share.
THURSDAY 7:50PM – BULLDOGS v PENRITH @ Accor Stadium
Good – Penrith currently looking invincible after being the first team to score 50 points v Melbourne in 23 years. Plus Penrith have won nine of the last ten games v Bulldogs.
Grape – Stephen Crichton out and the fallout of who replaces who and the usual off field stuff for the Bulldogs.
FRIDAY 6PM – ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA v MANLY @ WIN Stadium
Good – Manly’s win last weekend looked awesome, but can Kieran Foran continue it? The Dragons aren’t bad at WIN Stadium v Manly – St George Illawarra’s record at Win Stadium v Manly – W10 L2 since 1998.
Grape – Manly’s away form on a Friday, Dragons form overall (Dragons are now on a nine game losing streak). Kyle Flanagan returns.
FRIDAY 8PM – BRISBANE v NORTH QUEENSLAND
Good – Broncos form v Qld sides – Brisbane have won 13 games straight at Suncorp Stadium v Qld opposition on a Friday and lost just once in the last 23 games on a Friday v Qld teams. Brisbane are on an eight game winning streak v all Qld teams. Plus Brisbane have won six games straight v North Queensland.
Grape – Injuries to Reece Walsh, Ben Hunt and Adam Reynolds.
SATURDAY 3PM – SOUTH SYDNEY v CANBERRA @ Optus Stadium, Perth
Good – Souths had a great Good Friday win. Canberra have a decent recent record v South Sydney, winning four in a row coming into this weekend. Brandon Smith returns.
Grape – Souths have lost their last five games in Perth. These sides have won just one first half between them this season.
SATURDAY 5:30PM – CRONULLA v ROOSTERS @ Optus Stadium, Perth
Good – Both sides are unbeaten in WA. Cronulla have won their past two games v Roosters and four of the last six. Roosters come off a bye. Victor Radley returns for Roosters.
Grape – Being the second game of a double header.
SATURDAY 7:30PM – MELBOURNE v WAHS
Good – Melbourne are so dominant v Warriors – Melbourne have won 17 games in a row v Warriors and Melbourne have won 11 home games in a row v Warriors.
Grape – Warriors lose Luke Metcalf to injury. Melbourne could lose four in a row – Melbourne haven’t lost four in a row since July 2022. Reserve Grade for some if they don’t.
SUNDAY 2PM – PARRAMATTA v GOLD COAST
Good – Parramatta are W4 L1 at home on a Saturday to Gold Coast, with the only loss in Mudgee.
Grape – Gold Coast have lost 14 away games in a row at grounds other than Suncorp Stadium on a Sunday. Their last win was Round 1 in 2023 at Leichhardt. More injuries for Parramatta -Bailey Simonsson (ankle), Sean Russell (concussion) and Jonah Pezet (hamstring).
SUNDAY 4PM – WESTS TIGERS v NEWCASTLE @ Campbelltown
Good – The Wests Tigers most recent win v Newcastle in Round 5 last season broke a run of seven straight losses to the Knights.
Grape – Overall, Wests Tigers have a dreadful recent record at Campbelltown – since 2021 they have won just two of 16 games there, including a current losing streak of five games. Wests Tigers have lost their last four home games to Newcastle at any ground. Bradman Best being injured kind-of sucks.
