The 2023 NRL Season rolls on, and so does our stat-filled preview of the upcoming weekend of rugby league with our 2023 NRL Round 6 Tips Stats Preview + Alternative Tips.

Each week we offer up a quick preview glance for each match, a bunch of barely interesting stats, probably more than one could ever need or want.

We also offer up some alternative tips. These alternative tips are often based on a rugby league stat, and sometimes something completely absurd, and are aimed at those NRL tipsters who just can’t be bothered.

Since Melbourne continued their H2H dominance over the Rabbitohs last weekend, and Round 6 already sees some repeat games from 2023, why not look at each team’s fortunes in the H2H results from 1998 for this weekend’s games.

2023 NRL Round 6 Tips – Alternative Tips – H2H Record since 1998

Short on inspiration? Or looking for that edge to your tipping that no one else in your competition has? Well here are the Alternative NRL Tips for this round.

This week it is simple – we got the H2H record for each game this week going back to 1998 where applicable. Whichever team has the better win % gets the tips this week, and they are statistically more likely to win. Cowboys got the nod over Dolphins for no good reason.

2023 NRL Round 6 Barely Interesting Stats Summary

Here we take the best points of interest for each match coming up this weekend, and share them with you for no cost. Feel free to share with friends and family.

Melbourne Storm have won all 14 home games on a Thursday.

Roosters have won two of the last three games v Melbourne at AAMI Park.

South Sydney lead the Good Friday H2H v Bulldogs by 7-3.

Souths have won 9 of the last 11 games v Bulldogs.

Souths have also won their last eight games in a row v Sydney sides at the Olympic Stadium on a Friday.

Cowboys have won six of their last seven games at home on a Friday to Queensland teams.

Penrith have won seven of their last eight at home v Manly.

Penrith have won 14/15 games since 2020 v Sydney teams on a Saturday. Their only loss was v South Sydney in the 2021 Finals Series.

Going back to 2016, Manly have won just three of the 15 away games v Sydney teams on a Saturday.

Canberra have the worst record at Suncorp Stadium of all the current teams.

The Broncos and Warriors have won the most second halves this season with four. They are first and second on the ladder, so something to be said for that.

Broncos have scored just one try in the first 10 minutes of their matches and seven in the last ten minutes.

Gold Coast have won their only home game so far this season. They are one of only six teams to be still unbeaten at home after only five rounds.

Gold Coast have won four of their last five games at home on a Sunday.

Dragons have won just four of their last 22 away games. And their last four in Queensland.

Tigers have won two of the past four Monday clashes v Parramatta.

Wests Tigers have lost seven in a row at the Olympic Stadium and last won in July 2018. Parramatta have lost their last four there including all three games in 2022.
