An Australian fan of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is getting ready to jump on the Super Bowl bandwagon.
While Peter hasn’t watched a full NFL game in a decade, he noticed that the various Sunny Facebook groups he’s in were celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles making the Super Bowl this morning.
“I vaguely knew that the Birds were doing ok, but I didn’t know they were doing this well,” said Peter.
Despite his lack of American Football knowledge, Peter is planning to bandwagon hard on Monday morning, February 13.
“I’ve already bought an Eagles shirt online, arranged Annual Leave for Super Bowl Monday, and even changed my social media profile pics to the meme of Mac saying ‘Go Birds’,” said Peter. “I only started watching Sunny last year, but I quickly fell in love with it and binged all 15 seasons in a few months. Hopefully the Eagles win and we’ll get a sequel to ‘The Gang Wins the Big Game‘. And the Sunny pod is going to be fun for the next couple of weeks.”

Though Peter is also doing some homework by watching replays of all the Eagles’ 20221/22 wins on Kayo, reading up on the rule of American Football, and finding what he can on the Eagles’ history.
“If I go to a bar to watch it, there’s going to be a lot of people who actually care about the Eagles, so I want to make sure I bandwagon properly. Being a Sunny fanatic got me this far, but there’s still work to do so I can fully embrace the event. Go Birds!”
Everyday News is a brand new general news/parody section of The Gurgler, and definitely not a lame rip-off of The Betoota Advocate. We swear.
