The finals are almost here, just the final round to go, and what a weekend ahead it looks to be. It looks a tough round to tip so NRL tipsters everywhere need more help than ever to pick a winner or eight. So here are our bold NRL Round 25 Tips and Stats Preview to help you win that tipping comp.

Each week we offer up a quick preview glance for each match, a bunch of barely interesting stats, probably more than one could ever need or want.

We also offer up some alternative tips. These alternative tips are often based on a rugby league stat, and sometimes something completely absurd, and are aimed at those NRL tipsters who just can’t be bothered.

2022 NRL Round 25 Barely Interesting Stats Summary

Here we take the best points of interest for each match coming up this weekend, and share them with you for no cost. Feel free to share with friends and family.

Parramatta have won three straight v Melbourne.

The Eels have won both Thursday clashes with the Storm.

Melbourne have only won 3/8 this season when playing a Sydney team from the top half of the ladder (at time of game).

Melbourne have conceded exactly 16 points in their last two trips to Bankwest Stadium.

Bulldogs have lost seven straight to Manly.

Manly and Bulldogs have scored the lowest points since Round 20 (the Rainbow jersey controversy).

Manly have lost all seven Friday clashes this season, and two more before that in 2021.

Souths and the Roosters have met in the final round of the season five times in the last ten seasons, the Roosters lead the H2H 3-2.

Souths have lost all six Friday clashes at the Sydney Football Stadium v Roosters going back to 2002.

Roosters have won seven straight matches on a Friday this season.

Gold Coast have lost every away game this season. Their current losing streak is 14 games.

Gold Coast have also lost all four final round games away from home in the past ten seasons.

Warriors have won four in a row and eight of their last nine v Gold Coast at Mt Smart Stadium. It’s also 5/6 all time v Gold Coast at home on a Saturday.

Brisbane have played St George Illawarra four times at Kogarah since 1998 and lost all four games.

Broncos have alternated between winning and losing on a Saturday all season. Their last result was a win.

Penrith haven’t lost a game to Queensland side since Covid. That’s 11 wins straight.

North Queensland have lost nine in a row at home on a Saturday against Sydney sides. Their last win was in May 2019. Their record at home v Sydney clubs this season for all day is only W2 L3.

Newcastle have won three straight v Cronulla at home.

Newcastle have lost six in a row at home to Sydney sides this season, their only win was against the Tigers in their first home game of the season.

Cronulla have won 11/13 v teams from NSW this season.

Cronulla are 2/2 for away games on a Sunday this season.

Going back to 2016, Canberra have won eight of their last nine v Wests Tigers.

Canberra have also won their last five away games v Tigers.

Wests Tigers have lost 13 straight on a Sunday.
