Scott Morrison has guaranteed himself at least one win in a poll in 2022 by taking out the official Jerk of the Year for 2021.
In a field of quality nominations, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison aka Scomo aka Smirko aka #dickhead, recently on Twitter, took 18% of the hundreds of votes we received from our readers. It was almost double the number of votes as second place, which was coincidentally Covid itself.
Covid being second makes sense, as Scott Morrison’s handling of the Coronavirus is one of the main reasons he is 2021’s biggest jerk.
But there were so many more things Scott Morrison could have won in 2021.
Most punchable smirk. Least sincere politician. Least trustworthy human in Australia.
All of those would be worthy awards, but 2021 Jerk of the Year does have a ring about it.
Having spent the entire 2021 taking credit for any positive aspect to the Covid response, and shaming non Liberal state premiers who had the audacity to stand up for the people he doesn’t give a sh!t about, Australia now enters 2022 in a complete clusterf–k of 100,000’s of cases, health systems under the pump and shops running out of stuff.
Perhaps those factors, and being infamous for his strollout are fresh in people’s minds.
Or maybe it was the recent two fingers up to the Australian public with the lack of free RATs despite being told not to get tested any other way.
Or maybe it was the buck passing on Novak Djokovic until he realised the rest of Australia had the sh!ts with it, then jumped on board with the full Government resources to stop him. They’ve probably spent more on Legal fees against Djokovic than RATs.
Or maybe it’s just that punchable smirk.
Scott Morrison has a more important vote ahead of him, which is most of the reason for the Dilligaf attitude towards most of the regular people in 2021.
Some of the Australian public have at least had their say early.
