WINNERS

ASTON VILLA

While other, bigger clubs complain about rebuilding (with a lot more money) Aston Villa saw 6 of their Europa League winning team, and just got the job done in replacing them. A (now traditional) slow start has been overcome and here they are beating Man City at home for the fourth season in a row.

SPURS

Two wins in a row, beating Chelsea for the first time at Chelsea since 2018, Man Utd going even worse to take some heat off them all sounds like a win. Who’d think 14th place on the table is a win. Been a lean few years.

MAN UTD FANS

Funny and respect for the Man Utd fans waiting until after they had cheered their soon-to-be-departing manager to boo their players from the field. Some of the alleged chant towards the owners and other off field staff was funny too.

FANS OF DIFFERENT CONDITIONS

The storm rolling across the UK brought some different conditions, especially the wind causing havoc in places. The Premier League is sometimes so predictable that’s it’s nice when something different (and legal) affects the football.

IPSWICH TOWN

Bias we know, but…..if this game was played in their previous stint in the Premier League, the yellow card for Diop would have been red, that free kick goes in, and they lose by three or more. Delap may have scored though, for Ipswich The Tractor Boys are better tougher, and most importantly, luckier this time around.

LOSERS

MAN UTD

Beaten 3-0 at home to Bournemouth is becoming less of a disgrace due to Bournemouth’s rise as a well run football club, but it really is a disgrace. People will be fired and soon. If not already at time of writing. They are just one point away from the drop and with second last and last playing each other this week and Utd playing Chelsea away, they may see themselves in the bottom three by this time next week.

LIAM DELAP

Poor guy gets more derision thrown at him than he probably deserves. Sure he’s a 50M striker who never scores but he works hard and proved he can goals for a bad Ipswich side a few seasons ago. Maybe he would be scoring more goals if he went to Ipswich.

CRYSTAL PALACE

When the club is looking to sack their manager Man Utd you know things aren’t going well. They are below Man Utd on goal difference.
