2026 Singapore F1 Grand Prix Prix-view – Race Potential Rating

F1 2023 - Fabi Preview Index Feature Image

The Gurgler does like to use some obscure drivers in our Race previews and report, so who better to use than Teo Fabi to determine a race rating system.

So before each race we give a rating out of ten for four key category that are loosely based on each letter of Teo Fabi’s surname. Don’t know who Teo Fabi is, you should.

FAST 5/10

It’s not really that fast, and the lap does seem to drag on a bit, but under the lights and in certain sections, including the last corner, the cars look pretty quick.

ACTION 5/10

It can be, but then sometimes it really isn’t. The modern Mario Kart F1 cars make it hard to pass, and the track surface hasn’t helped in some recent races giving drivers the confidence to go racing too hard. There’s more than enough walls, and some drivers and Lance Stroll ill probably find them, so there’s always that.

BIG HISTORY 3/10

It was the first ever night race, and has done well to still be going and be a prestigious one to win.

INCLEMENT WEATHER  7/10

Weather Channel says there’s a good chance of rain on both Saturday and Sunday with Saturday potentially seeing some afternoon storms.

RACE POTENTIAL RATING 50% – It’s a great visual to see the cars go around at night, and there’s enough speed and walls to tempt drivers into something silly, and the potential for rain and/or storms makes it very interesting. Or if could be dull as, hence the 50-50 rating works.
