2026 NRL Round 4 Results & Stats Summary

Here are the main stats from the latest round of NRL that can be used to solve arguments, impress that person on the train you’ve been eyeing off for months, or slowing the rise of petrol prices.

THE AGE OLD QUESTION ANSWERED

  • Before the Titans-Dragons game today, both sides had one awful stat – Gold Coast had a woeful Sunday record and St Goerge Illawarra are the worst away team in recent years. Turns out that being bad away from home is worse than being unable to win a million games in a row on a Sunday. Or that both teams aren’t very good, and neither matters.

DROUGHT OVER / GOOD TIMES OVER

  • Take your pick for the Wests Tigers, their record against the Warriors was bad (nine straight losses), away on a Friday terrible (ten straight losses) or Fridays anywhere awful (13 straight losses) and they overcome them all in style with a big win over the Warriors. Only the die-hardest of Tigers fans, and those who forgot to put tips in the tipping and got the away teams were on board.
  • Penrith conceded more than one try for the first time this season.
  • Gold Coast have broken a run of 15 losses in a row on a Sunday.

GOOD/BAD RUNS CONTINUE

  • Manly are winless, and head coachless in 2026. The last time they went winless in the first four rounds was in 2021. They went on to finish 4th in the regular season that year.
  • Manly have lost their last seven Thursday games, with a last win three years ago in March 2023.
  • Dolphins are now down 6-1 in the Battle of Brisbane H2H. Broncos are 4/4 as the home side and on Fridays.
  • Brisbane have won 11 in a row at home on a Friday v Queensland opposition
  • Newcastle won their last four Saturday away games
  • Melbourne have lost their last four games v Qld opposition.
  • Cronulla have won their last four games v Canberra on a Sunday.

SET RESTARTS / PENALTIES

Rugby League’s most talked about problem deserves its own mini section. But no more.
