West Ham are unbeaten in their last 11 games at home to Sunderland on a Saturday (W9 D2). Sunderland only scored three goals in that run,
Burnley have lost all seven games this season v London clubs.
Man City have won all six games this season v bottom six sides. Aston Villa are the only other teams with a 100% record (6 games).
Bournemouth (D3 L4) are the only team outside the bottom three not to have beaten a current top six side yet.
The last three games between Crystal Palace and Chelsea have ended in a draw. The previous 13 were all won by Chelsea.
Newcastle are unbeaten in their last 17 home games v Aston Villa (W11 D6).
2025-26 Premier League Predictions Week 23
SAT 12:30PM – WEST HAM v SUNDERLAND
Stats: West Ham have won their last three at home to Sunderland. Sunderland haven’t scored at West Ham since a 1-1 draw in 2012, five games ago. West Ham are unbeaten in their last 11 games at home to Sunderland on a Saturday (W9 D2). Sunderland only scored three goals in that run, among nine games without scoring. Sunderland are W4 D1 L1 v the current bottom six sides. West Ham are W1 L2 v promoted sides.
Verdict: If you said that one of these would be facing probable relegation at this point of the season, and said it was Sunderland, few would have doubted. Sunderland gives hope for any Championship team fan.
Prediction: West Ham 2 Sunderland 1
SAT 3PM – BURNLEY v TOTTENHAM
Stats: Spurs are at least unbeaten v promoted sides this season (W2 D1). Burnley are D2 L6 v big six sides this season, Wolves are the other team that are winless v big six this season. Burnley have lost all seven games this season v London clubs. Spurs have won the last four games v Burnley. Burnley’s winless streak is out to 13 games.
Verdict: Could be worse, this could be a Spurs home game. Either way, it’s the 3pm Saturday special.
Prediction: Burnley 1 Tottenham 1
SAT 3PM – FULHAM v BRIGHTON
Stats: Fulham are unbeaten in their last five home games v Brighton (W4 D1) winning the last three games. Brighton are W1 D2 L1 v London clubs away this season. Fulham are W2 D3 L2 v current middle eight sides on the ladder, while Brighton are W2 D4 L1. Brighton’s draw last weekend was only the second time this season where they had a consecutive result. The other was two wins in a row earlier in the season.
Verdict: A mid table contest with lower mid table interest.
Prediction: Fulham 2 Brighton 0
SAT 3PM – MAN CITY v WOLVES
Stats: Man City have won ten of their last 11 games v Wolves, and the last four in a row. It’s five wins in a row at home to Wolves. The record for Wolves v big six this season is D2 L5. Man City have won all six games this season v bottom six sides. Aston Villa are the only other teams with a 100% record (6 games). Man City’s expected goals figure of 0.39 v Man Utd was their worst effort of the season, and first time under 1.0.
Verdict: A month ago you’d worry for Wolves in a game like this going for ten. But not these days. But they still won’t win.
Prediction: Man City 3 Wolves 0
SAT 5:30PM – BOURNEMOUTH v LIVERPOOL
Stats: Liverpool have won five in a row v Bournemouth, scoring 19 goals over those games. It’s 12 wins in the last 13 games for Liverpool too v Bournemouth. The 1-0 win to Bournemouth over Liverpool in 2023 is the only time they’ve beaten them on a Saturday (W1 D2 L10). Bournemouth (D3 L4) are the only team outside the bottom three not to have beaten a current top six side yet. Liverpool (W4 D6) have the longest current undefeated streak in the Premier League, drawing their last four games. Liverpool are W4 D3 L1 v current bottom six sides.
Verdict: Liverpool should probably win this, and probably will.
Prediction: Bournemouth 1 Liverpool 2
SUN 2PM – CRYSTAL PALACE v CHELSEA
Stats: Crystal Palace are winless in seven games and are bottom of the last six form ladder. The last three games between these sides have ended in a draw. The previous 13 were all won by Chelsea. Chelsea have won 12 of the last 15 games at Crystal Palace (W12 D1 L2). Chelsea are unbeaten v Crystal Palace on a Sunday (W5 D3) and have won both Sunday games at Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace are W3 D2 L2 v London clubs this season while Chelsea are W4 D3 L1.
Verdict: Crystal Palace’s season is dying in the arse. They are lucky the bottom three are as terrible as they are.
Prediction: Crystal Palace 0 Chelsea 2
SUN 2PM – NEWCASTLE v ASTON VILLA
Stats: Newcastle are unbeaten in their last 17 home games v Aston Villa (W11 D6). Newcastle have also won their last four in a row at home to Aston Villa. Newcastle are also unbeaten on a Sunday v Aston Villa at home (W4 D1). Newcastle are W1 D2 L3 v current top six sides. Aston Villa (W1 D1 L2) have won only one of their last four games in the League. Aston Villa have the best record on a Sunday this season (W9 D1 L2) while Newcastle’s Sunday record is a more average W2 D2 L4.
Verdict: Possibly the game of the round.
Prediction: Newcastle 2 Aston Villa 1
SUN 2PM – BRENTFORD v NOTTINGHAM FOREST
Stats: Nottingham Forest are unbeaten v Brentford on a Sunday (W2 D1). Nottingham Forest are W1 D1 L2 away to London clubs. No team has scored more goals than Brentford over the last six games, and they have conceded the second fewest goals in that run too. Brentford are second for expected goals over that run too, while Nottingham Forest are second worst.
Verdict: At least Brentford are interesting.
Prediction: Brentford 3 Nottingham Forest 0
SUN 4:30PM – ARSENAL v MAN UTD
Stats: Arsenal (W5 D1) are unbeaten in their last six league games v Man Utd. That record is slightly better for last home games (W6 D1). And W5 D1 for home games on a Sunday. Arsenal are W4 D2 L1 on a Sunday this season, Man Utd are W2 D2 L3. Man Utd are W3 L3 v current top six sides this season, while Arsenal are W2 D3 D2. Man Utd are W1 D2 L1 away to London clubs this season.
Verdict: So are Man Utd coming good after all this time. Beating Arsenal will certainly add weight to that, and the potential Arsenal title choke. Again. Although other teams are choking better around them.

MONDAY 8PM – EVERTON v LEEDS
Stats: Everton have lost just one of their last 16 home games v Leeds (W8 D7 L1). Everton are unbeaten in six games on a Sunday (W4 D). Everton are winless v promoted clubs this season – D2 L1.
Verdict: No idea who wins this, but luckily it on a Monday and people won’t notice our tips.
Prediction: Everton 1 Leeds 1
