Worth slightly less than a Liverpool transfer window, with less jet lag than most players, playing in a formation that was unfashionable and illegal 60 years ago, and safer in our job than any other Australian, it’s our 2025-26 Premier League Predictions Week 8.

Each gameweek in this 2025-26 Premier League season we offer up a stat filled prediction preview, with some barely interesting stats and visuals, just enough to bluff your way through various tipping competitions or betting shops.

We also attempted to guess the final Premier League ladder in advance. Follow the link to that here.

Help yourself to a buffet of barely interesting stats, quick one liners and more to help pick a winner.

BEST OF WEEK 8 STATS

Newcastle have drawn all three away games this season but are one of just two teams not to have lost away so far this season (the other is Spurs W3 D1).

Man City are unbeaten in their last 16 games v Everton (W13 D3) with a last loss in 2017.

Saturdays are good at Fulham for Arsenal – their record is W12 L2. It’s even better at any ground v Fulham on a Saturday with W16 D4 L1, going back to 1966.

SAT 12:30PM – NOTTINGHAM FOREST v CHELSEA

STATS: Chelsea (W3 D1) are undefeated in their last four trips to Nottingham Forest. Nottingham Forest are sitting last on the ladder since Ange took over as manager, sharing one point and -6 goal difference with Burnley and West Ham. Nottingham Forest are yet to keep a clean sheet.

Verdict: Maybe Ange’s last game in charge.

Nottingham Forest 0 Chelsea 2

SAT 3PM – SUNDERLAND v WOLVES

STATS: These teams last met in the 17/18 Championship season where Sunderland won 3-0 at home and drew the away game 0-0. Sunderland have lost only once in their last ten home games v Wolves (W6 D3 L1). Wolves have already lost their only game to a promoted side this season.

Verdict: Wolves got lucky last season.

Sunderland 2 Wolves 0

SAT 3PM – BRIGHTON v NEWCASTLE

STATS: There have been seven draws in the last 13 games between these sides. Brighton are undefeated in their last eight games at home to Newcastle (W3 D5). SAT 3PM – CRYSTAL PALACE v BOURNEMOUTH

STATS: Crystal Palace are unbeaten in their last eight games on a Saturday v Bournemouth (W3 D5). Bournemouth are the only team with a 100% record v London teams this season having played more than one game (Arsenal and Spurs are 100% after one game).

Verdict: One of those tricky games that will be an early indicator if Arsenal are real deal territory.

Fulham 0 Arsenal 2

SUN 2PM – TOTTENHAM v ASTON VILLA

STATS: Aston Villa have won three of their last five at Spurs. Spurs have an impressive advantage on a Sunday W15 D4 L2. Aston Villa (D2 L1) are yet to win away this season.
