2025 United States F1 Grand Prix Prix-view – Race Potential Rating
The Gurgler does like to use some obscure drivers in our Race previews and report, so who better to use than Teo Fabi to determine a race rating system.
So before each race we give a rating out of ten for four key category that are loosely based on each letter of Teo Fabi’s surname. Don’t know who Teo Fabi is, you should.
FAST? 6 / 10 – It looks like a microscope, and it is certainly a track that puts a microscope on F1 driver ability. It’s fast in sections, and then a bit stop-start towards the end of the lap. Lord knows why you’d copy the dull part of the old Hockenheimring.
ACTION? 5 / 10 – The wide, uphill first corner usually provides some over-ambitious action, and the fast sweepers make the cars look spectacular, and some of the corners allow for some good overtaking. But maybe it’s the timeslot of the race, there’s just not as many big moments as we can recall.
BIG HISTORY? – 3 / 10 – Not really. Just another track in a long line of tracks in the US. Been around for a while now.
INCLEMENT WEATHER? – 2 /10 – The Weather Channel says next to no chance of rain, but hot weather might be a factor.
RACE POTENTIAL RATING 40% – Not bad for a modern circuit.
