NRL | Round 6 NRL Ratings and Late Mail

Been too busy panicking about the financial markets? Need some last-minute NRL tipping advice. Well then saddle up for The Gurgler’s Round 6 NRL Ratings and Late Mail.

In a new additional to our stable of NRL stats and tipping products, we have used all the stats we have, smashed them against each other like atoms, and come up with a H2H rating.

It includes this year’s form with a bias because it is this year, but we don’t forget historic stats of the H2H against this week’s opponents, and the ground and day the teams are playing on. Then slice up the scores out of 100% between the two sides. The bigger the percentage, the more likely to win.

2025 NRL Round 6 Ratings

Here are the H2H ratings and winner for our first attempt for Round 6 of the NRL.

An above average 5/8 last weekend after two lots of 6/8.

2025 Round 6 Late Mail

DOLPHINS v PENRITH

Dylan Edwards returning won’t help the Dolphins, Tom Gilbert does, as does moving Max Plath back to lock. But Penrith are due to kick into gear soon. Penrith have won 14/16 at Suncorp Stadium since 2020.

ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA v GOLD COAST

Two one-point losses either side of beating Melbourne is decent form for the Dragons. Unlike the Titans who were smashed by the previously winless Dolphins. But the Titans did win on their last trip to Sydney (v Roosters).

BRISBANE v ROOSTERS

Roosters may been a win shy this season but they have a good recent record at Suncorp Stadium. Broncos are hot and cold this season so are vulnerable.

CRONULLA v MANLY

Hopefully being away will soften the DCE saga. Sharks are 2/2 in Perth but have a strangely poor record at home to Manly (3 of last 15). So lucky this game is in Perth.

SOUTH SYDNEY v NORTH QLD

Betting Latrell Mitchell and Jack Wighton will swap positions and naming Latrell at five eighth is just a ploy by a canny Wayne Bennett. Try scoring machine Alex Johnston returns which offsets the loss of Cody Walker. But Souths record in Perth in recent seasons stinks.

PARRAMATTA v CANBERRA

No field goal kicking winner Zac Lomax this week. And Parramatta have lost three in a row in Darwin, which makes you wonder why they still do. Money aside.

MELBOURNE v WARRIORS

Melbourne have won a million in a row v Warriors so for that reason you can only tip one side.

NEWCASTLE v WESTS TIGERS

Newcastle have won seven straight against the Tigers but Newcastle have lost their last two scoring just six points in total across the two games.
