WOODEN SPOONERS – The New NRL App

A new NRL app has been launched to help footy fans cope with frustrating losses.

Called NRL Tough Loss, the free app has a number of programs to help fans let their frustrations out in a healthy manner.

These include:

  • A 10-30 minute program of strenuous exercises (a combination of cardio and strength training).
  • An AI chatbot where fans can vent about how bad their team is/how the referee robbed them/why the NRL hates them etc.
  • A series of nostalgic video games (with easy, normal, and hard difficulty modes).
  • A meditation app with footy-themed exercises.

A spokesperson said they hope the app will help fans channel their emotions.

“It doesn’t matter what your poison is, exercise, ranting, playing games, or doing meditation. By the time fans have finished with our app, the loss should be out of their systems and they can get on with their day. We don’t want punters to take their frustrations out on friends, family, strangers on social media, or even on players through Instagram or Twitter.”

Pre-season testing showed that 95% of people felt better after using the app. And while there are ads, the sound can be muted and the ads can be skipped after five seconds.

“We all get emotionally invested in our teams, but remember, it’s only a game!”

The app is available to download now on Android and Apple devices.
