Need some barely interesting stats to round up your weekend NRL experience? Here’s the choicest cuts of data from the weekend that was.
- Penrith have lost their last three Thursday games and four of their last seven Thursday games v Sydney sides
- Wayne Bennett has coached teams to five straight wins on a Thursday. Interestingly, one win was for Souths over the Dolphins, and another was for the Dolphins over Souths in 2024.
- Gold Coast’s win broke an 11 game losing streak.
- The Titans do lead Roosters 3-1 on Friday H2H now and all three of those wins were at the Sydney Football Stadium
- Gold Coast have won nine of their last 11 Friday games away to Sydney teams.
- Dolphins have lost seven of their last eight Friday games. Worse still, they have now lost all five home games on a Friday.
- Dolphins have a better record as the away side at Suncorp Stadium (67%) than the home side (44%).
- Broncos have won 11 straight at Suncorp Stadium on a Friday v Qld sides. Overall it is W29 L5 since 1998 at Suncorp on a Friday v Qld sides.
- St George Illawarra have won eight of their last 12 home games v Melbourne.
- Melbourne’s record since 2022 on a Saturday to Sydney teams is W10 L8. The Dragons are the two most recent losses.
- Cowboys have won seven straight v Canberra and five in a row at home.
- Canberra have won just five of their last 17 away games.
- Bulldogs have won eight of their last ten Saturday games.
- Cronulla have won just two of their last nine games on a Saturday at Shark Park.
- Manly have won six of their last seven at Brookvale v Parramatta. Manly have won eight of their last nine at home on a Sunday.
- Parramatta have won two of their last 14 away games. And six straight losses away on a Sunday.
- Warriors have won eight straight v Wests Tigers and five away games straight.
- Wests Tigers have lost 10 of their last 12 at Campbelltown on a Sunday. It’s two wins in 15 games at Campbelltown on any day.

HOW DO TEAMS END UP THAT WIN/LOSE ALL THEIR FIRST FOUR GAMES?
Last week in our Round 3 Stats and Results roundup we looked into the end season result after losing or winning the first three games. So why not do it for four games in a row too.
TEAM THAT HAVE WON THEIR FIRST FOUR GAMES (14 teams since 2013)
- All but one team made the finals
- There have only been three Premiers.
- The average finishing position is 4.4.
- Six teams made the top four.
- The only side to miss the finals was Newcastle who won all four games in 2015, then ended up finishing dead last, winning only four more games for the season.
TEAM THAT HAVE LOST THEIR FIRST FOUR GAMES (13 teams since 2013)
- The average finishing position in 13.3.
- Six of the teams finished last.
- Just two made the finals. Manly made the top 4 in 2021.
