It’s a change of season, but that doesn’t mean the football season has to change yet, and there are still plenty of draws to be had, and who doesn’t love a football draw. They say there can only be winners and losers in sport, but of course they’re wrong, there’s always the draw, and who doesn’t love a draw where everyone wins. Those winners include canny punters who look for value, and here to help is our Football Draws Tips of the Week – February 28 – March 3.
Our resident draw expert Frankington Stanley runs his keen eye over the many football divisions around the world to find the best draws for you. He’s sort of like the John West of Football draws, he hates Dog Salmon and lop sided fixtures. Frankington spent the off season ignoring the Euros to continent-hop across dozens of countries to assess the best league and teams for draws.
Frankington Stanley is not fussy, no country or continent is out of bounds, and the more obscure the better. And some of them are quite obscure. They don’t even feature on the Who Scored website.
So get yourself ready for another weekly serving of the finest Football Draw tips from all over the world, where The Gurgler and Frankington Stanley take the stale out of stalemate.
It’s all you can eat draws. Grab a spoon.
DRAW OF THE WEEK
FA CUP – PRESTON v BURNLEY
The last three games between these sides @ Preston have ended in a draw. Add to that four of the last five games anywhere between these sides ended in a draw. Preston have drawn their last two and three of their last four at home in the Championship. Burnley have drawn their last two away games in the Championship. Surely you don’t need to know anymore.
OTHER DRAW HIGHLIGHTS
League Two – Milton Keynes v Colchester
Colchester have drawn 16 of their 32 games so far this season, so there’s a 50-50 chance this one will end in a draw. Colchester have drawn their last two away. As an AFC Wimbledon fan is doesn’t make us sad to see Milton Keynes struggling. Maybe they should give the Dons back. As for this week Milton Keynes are winless in six home games with one draw their best result.
Serie A – Lecce v Milan
Don’t be put off by the big name in Milan, the last two games between these sides at Lecce ended in a 2-2 draw. Add to that Lecce’s home form for their last five games is LDLDL, so a D is next. Milan’s recent away form is LWL, so not great either.
Bundesliga – RB Leipzig v Mainz
For starters, the last game between these sides at RB ended in a draw. RB are the draw kings recently, five of their last six in all games, and two of their last three at home. And they took out our draw of the week a couple of weeks ago. Mainz sounds like a team that like a draw.
Polish Liga I – Pogon Siedlce v Wisla Plock
The last game at Pogon Siedlce between these sides ended 0-0, and the game there two before. Pogon also drew their last game at home. Wisla Plock have drawn three of their last five away.
