AFCON DRAWS

DR Congo v Guinea

ODDS – DRAW $TBA

FORM / STATS – The third last game between these sides ended in a 1-1 draw. So we’re off to a decent start. Guinea drew one of their games during the group stage, but they can’t top DR Congo who drew all three of their group games. DR Congo then went on to draw their first knockout game after 90 minutes and progress on penalties. So they are in the quarter finals without winning a game in regular time. Drawing all four so far. What more do you need to get behind the draw here.

Cape Verde v South Africa

ODDS – DRAW $TBA

FORM / STATS – The last time these two teams met in the AFCON not a goal was scored. Which is good news for draw freaks and isn’t that why you’re here. Both teams drew their final group stage game too.

DRAW OF THE WEEK

Here is the best of the best draw tips for the week.

National League Premier UK – Solihull Moors v Altrincham

ODDS – DRAW $TBA

FORM / STATS – How good is the name Solihull Moors FC? And they come into this game fresh from a draw in their last fixture at home to Dagenham and Redbridge, which is one club not two in case you were wondering. The H2H last six doesn’t feature a draw but it does feature some heavy defeats for the away side – 6-1, 4-1, 5-1, 5-0, 4-0, with a 2-1 away win thrown in there. Altrincham have drawn six of their 14 away games this season and three of their last six away.

OTHER DRAW SPECIALS

National League South UK – Weymouth v Hemel Hempstead

ODDS – DRAW $TBA

FORM / STATS – The last clash between these sides at Weymouth didn’t feature any goals, which ticks our draw box. This season in the National League South Weymouth have drawn seven of their 14 home games, with a run of three draws at home broken last start with a win. How dare they.

PREMIER LEAGUE DRAW SPECIAL OF THE WEEK

With so many divisions, there should be so many draws to choose from. Frankington Stanley goes top shelf here though for his Premier League best draw.

EPL – Wolves v Man Utd

ODDS – DRAW $TBA

FORM / STATS – Both sides drew their last game in the Premier League. Man Utd 2-2 draw with Spurs more exciting than Wolves’ 0-0 draw with Brighton. But this game could be low on goals with Man Utd the equal third worst team for goals in the Premier League this season, four fewer than Luton Town. Can you taste the 0-0.

BIG FIVE LEAGUE DRAW SPECIAL OF THE WEEK

Some have accused us of picking easy leagues for our draws. First of all, how dare you, secondly we introduce of Big Five League draw of the week, where we scan the five biggest leagues in Europe for the finest draws. It could be Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 or the Premier League, but what it will always be is a quality eye for a draw.

Serie A – Empoli v Genoa

ODDS – DRAW $TBA

FORM / STATS – The last three matches between these sides in Serie A have ended in a draw – and three different types too 0-0, 2-2, 1-1. Variety is good, except for a variety of winner when it comes to draws. Empoli drew their last match in Serie A and Genoa drew their second last match away. Plus the last gameweek in Serie A saw four of the ten games end in a draw.
