GURGLERBET | Ashes 2023, NRL, F1 Betting & Weekend Sporting Highlights – 28 June 2023

Welcome to the GurglerBet Weekend Betting & Sporting Highlights for the big sporting weekend ahead, featuring Ashes Cricket, two Austrian Grands Prix and NRL Betting and much more.

GurglerBet is the Official Betting Partner of The Gurgler website, and it does betting differently.

First of all GurglerBet is the Home of the Fifty Cent bet. That’s not a minimum limit, but the only betting unit. Making responsible betting at the heart of their wagering.

GurglerBet also offer markets that no one can or dares to offer. Either weekly specials or long standing offers to customers.

But it’s not just all betting, there’s a weekend of sporting action that awaits with our thoughts, and in partnership with our big GurglerBet – Home of the Fifty Cent Bet.

Note: GurglerBet is also not actually a betting company in case you were wondering how to put a bet on.

THE GURGLERBET WEEKEND SPORTING HIGHLIGHTS

Here are the GurglerBet choice sporting events for the weekend ahead that you should probably tune into, and a special betting offer from each that you probably won’t find anywhere else.

ASHES SECOND TEST

WEDNESDAY TO SUNDAY

This second test has a lot to live to after the epic first test. It is at Lord’s so that adds a little prestige if that helps.

After making it to the 4am finish on the fifth day of the first test, we are hoping that England’s Bazball bites them in the arse and this finishes with four days, with a dominant Australian victory.

But Australia rarely put two good tests together on an England-based Ashes Tour, and England need to Usman Khawaja which they may do with verbal abuse. Although that didn’t work too well in the first test.

Either way the action is guaranteed to be better than the Warnie telemovie and harder to find on TV than a person who enjoyed that show.

NRL

FROM THURSDAY TO SATURDAY

After weeks of rubbish in between State of Origin games the NRL offers up a decent round of rugby league.

The weekend starts off on Thursday with the local rivalry between Cronulla and St George Illawarra, where both teams have leaders that want to leave in Ben Hunt and Scomo.

Then Friday sees Melbourne v Penrith face off in a clash featuring the last two winners of the Grand Finals. All the Origin players should return with some hanging on by a thread (of hair) for keeping their place for Game Three.

Saturday sees The Gabba of all Places host the next Battle of Brisbane between the Dolphins and Broncos.

Sunday games are limited to NSW/Sydney teams as ever, and so we shall get some rest for the Formula 1.

F1 – AUSTRIAN GRAND PRIX

FROM FRIDAY

The Austrian Grand Prix is usually one where you see a bit of action – it’s sort of like an oversized go kart track and occasionally drivers behave accordingly.

The best thing is this weekend there are two races – Sprint Race on Saturday and a Feature Race on the Sunday.

Although Max Verstappen will probably win both races, despite putting the car into reverse arrogantly for the final lap on Sunday, the battle behind him will probably be intense and close.

Plus, there’s a big chance of rain on every day of the weekend, which could see Friday qualifying ruined for Sergio Perez as he chokes again.

For more follow our preview below, or sample a GurglerBet or two.

WIMBLEDON

FROM NEXT MONDAY

Tennis is usually pretty dull, but Wimbledon is one of the more interesting tournament, and mainly because Nick Kyrgios goes really well there.

Can he go one better than last year’s beaten finalist result? Lord, we hope so, what Box Office it will be.

So in celebration GurglerBet have gone back through our back history to find some Kyrgios specials.

THE GURGLERBET DRAW OF THE WEEK

Just because a game is tied doesn’t mean it is boring or you can’t make money from it. Well, it can still be boring in the greater context of the actual game being played, but not the tension that hanging on to a 0-0 for your bet gets you.

We get our leading draw expert and host of the podcast that focuses only on draws in football and the related betting – Frankely Speaking. Frankington Stanley has scoured the many football divisions from all over the world to provide his best draw option for you.

This week Frank supplies a two-for-one special.

EGYPTIAN FOOTBALL

EL GEISH – $2.62
DRAW – $2.80
CERAMICA CLEOPATRA – $2.87
Odds courtesy of Sportsbet as GurglerBet isn’t a betting company.

SUMMARY

The H2H screams draw – three of the last four matches have ended in a draw. But for added confidence 15 of Cleopatra’s 31 games this season have ended in a draw. Another one here makes it every second game. Not as prolific but still interesting is El Gaish have also drawn two of their last five home games.

So bet early and bet often and don’t be scared to draw.
