With the State of Origin here and the NRL going into half-arsed mode for a few months, why not use a key Origin-NRL stat to determine winners for this week. And it’s also a good way of flogging future content as we bring out an NRL Stats in Depth about Origin form soon.
So we have the winning % of each team for the Origin period for the last ten seasons, the higher the winning %, the more likely that teams will win.

Dragons have won their last three games on a Thursday v Queensland opposition.
North Queensland have lost 12 of their last 13 games on a Friday away from home. And just six of 29 away games on a Friday going back ten seasons.
North Queensland have won three of their last 15 games v Sydney opposition on a Friday.
Parramatta have won their last four home games on a Friday v Qld opposition that were not in Darwin.
Melbourne beat St George Illawarra 22-4 in the only other game at McLean Park back in 2015.
Warriors lead the H2H v Brisbane 8-4 at home on a Saturday.
Warriors record for home games in New Zealand that are not at Mt Smart Stadium is W3 L9.
Warriors have won just two of their last 12 Saturday games v anyone. Broncos have won just three of their last 14 games away on a Saturday.
South Sydney have lost just three of their last 27 games on a Saturday.
South Sydney have also won 15 in a row on a Saturday night at home.
Rabbitohs have lost five of their past six games at home to Canberra.
Newcastle have won all three home games on a Sunday this season.
Newcastle have won seven of their eight home games v Manly on a Sunday.
