Adam Leach, the administrator of Facebook fan page Mad Fer Oasis 4 Life! has reached his wits end.
With Liam and Noel Gallagher (Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds) both playing the European summer circuit, the Mad Fer comments sections have erupted into heated and spiteful ‘Noel v Liam’ battles between fans, especially on posts about Liam’s triumphant return to Knebworth.
Adam finally snapped on Saturday night, with this long post:
Dear Oasis fans,
I have been running this page for three years as I adore Oasis and wanted to talk to like-minded fans about The Greatest Rock and Roll Band on the Planet!
But I’ve finally – FINALLY – gotten FED UP with the CONSTANT and PETTY Liam v Noel bickering!
A lot of you still haven’t gotten over the band breaking up 13 YEARS AGO and are unfairly blaming Liam or Noel for it! Well GROW THE F*** UP!
While Oasis are no more, we’re in the PRIVILEGED position of both Liam and Noel having active, thriving solo careers, giving us NEW music and keeping the classics alive.
It’s ok to prefer one brother’s music over the other, but there’s no need to PERSONALLY attack other members because they’re ‘Team Noel’ or ‘Team Liam’. If you’re that desperate to fight, take it somewhere else!
Managing this page was once a labour of love and a genuine pleasure. Now it’s becoming a frustrating chore! I have a busy life outside this page and DON’T HAVE TIME to babysit idiots who want to sling arrows at each other!
After COUNTLESS WARNINGS, I will be INSTANTLY BANNING ANYONE who talks s*** about Liam or Noel! I don’t care how long you’ve been on this page – NO EXCEPTIONS!
For those of you doing the right thing, I thank you for your co-operation and you can continue to use the page as intended.

The message had the desired impact, with a lot of the troublemakers leaving to start their own group: The Liam vs Noel Discussion Page. Adam was grateful for this, as it allowed him to run the page in peace without banning anyone.
