A new year begins full of hope, for hopefully a better world, and hopefully a smaller list of jerks to choose from with our January 2021 Jerk of the Month.
Well it’s not working out thus far.
The world is barely a better place, and the monthly Jerk nomination list for January 2021 is overflowing.
As a sort of return to the old normal there’s loads of Trump and Tennis players, but with no Kyrgios is sight as he continues his unlikely campaign as Tennis’ Voice of Reason.
This list also features some jerks from December as our annual poll took over that month and left a few deserving souls without a monthly nomination they so deserved.

Why have they been such a jerk this month?
Not content with winning the 2020 Jerk of the Year, Donald Trump wasted no time in laying down a marker for jerkdom in the new year.
January 6 may just be enough to grab himself another annual Jerk award.
Although his calls to various people to overturn the election was enough for the nomination too. Trump handling the election loss with the grace of a two year in the supermarket lolly aisle.
The second impeachment may not win, but Trump is every chance of starting the new year off with another monthly Jerk award.

Not enough to go on his Covid Tennis Tour last year, he has stirred things up leading into this year’s Australian Open.

Why have they been such a jerk this month?
Yes 14 days of quarantine isn’t fun, especially when you need to train to get into top shape for the first major tournament of the tennis season. But it could be worse.
Many people around the world, and ironically in Melbourne where the tennis will be played, have been locked down for a lot longer.
And those people don’t have the luxury of being allowed to travel anywhere, let alone the other side of the world to play sport.
Oh, the food is shit, too bad, don’t you earn hundreds of thousands if not millions? Get UberEats you moaning twits.
Can’t practise? Better than dying of Covid like 2 Millions have.

Following on from the above, Tomic’s girlfriend has even less to moan about.
But she did, about not being able to get her hair washed, as apparently that job is way too hard for a person who vlogs.

Sydney went into various lockdowns during December, but this wedding party decided to not only break the rules about leaving the Northern Beaches, but to load up the party with as many people as possible.
It’s a hard year planning for anything, but any potential sympathy (deserved or not) was lost when the eventual apology came with an abundance of how badly this had affected the people who did the wrong thing. Just so you know that it is still all about them.
