Soon to be former Wests Tigers player Mitchell Moses has taken out The Gurgler’s April 2017 Jerk of the Month.
As part of the Wests Tigers “Big 4” (who were also nominated) the young relation to Benny Elias has earned the scorn of Wests Tigers fans with his negotiating with Parramatta for 2018, and the audacity to ask for an immediate release after just Round 6.
Not that he’s the worst culprit of want-away, it is really the whole NRL Player Transfer Market stinks as we previously wrote for Fox Sports, but we have a loyal readership of a handful of Wests Tigers fans who demanded his nomination for Jerk of the Month for April, and they have obviously put their money where their mouth is by him getting enough votes to top this month’s poll.
His association with Benny Elias is never going to help if you don’t want to be known as a Jerk.
Although we are not sure if the person who attempted to throw a full beer can at Mitchell Moses voted in our April 2017 Jerk of the Month Poll, the sentiment shown by the catapulted beverage merely confirms the voting is OK and Moses deserves the title of the month’s biggest Jerk.
He beats the TAB for their awful Bon Jovi ads and Uber drivers, who finished in a tie for second just 1 vote behind.
Further back is the Wests Tigers “Big 4”, which you could also claim is a vote for Mitchell Moses.
So he really is a deserving winner of April 2017 Jerk of the Month, and join an elite list of Pete Evans and Donald Trump as previous winners of the monthly award in 2017. Exalted company indeed.
